An exquisite 1931 Auburn Model 8-98A, restored to its original condition. The Auburn got its name from its 98 brake horsepower, 4.4 liter straight-eight engine. This Auburn was an alternative to the Cord L29. The lavishly designed rear-wheel drive machine originally sold for around $1,250 new. The model line was first introduced in 1925 using a Lycoming engine and was comprehensively upgraded by Alan Leamy for the 1931 model year.
