Owner: Nick Soprano
One of approximately 30 such vehicles built for the road, Nick Soprano’s 1966 Ford GT40 Mk Production Road Coupe is remarkably original.
It retains its original monocoque chassis, engine transaxle and bodywork. The powerfully designed Ford GT40 Mk delivered four consecutive victories at Le Mans to Ford Motor Company, reigning supreme from 1966-1969.
These fantastic GT40 Mk Road Coupes are considered early hyper road machines. They are powered by a 289-cubic-inch Ford V8 and fed by four double-barrel downdraft Weber carburetors producing nearly 385 horsepower and generating a 180 mph top-end speed.
