A collaboration between Porsche and Italian designer Carlo Abarth, the 1960 Porsche Abarth Carrera GTL boasts a lightweight aluminum body and enhanced aerodynamics. This partnership resulted in a car that excelled in endurance racing, with notable performances at the Nürburgring and the 1000 km of Monza.
One of the only two Carrera GTL Abarth raced by the Factory Werks Team (Chassis 1001 in Miles Collier Collection and this Abarth, Chassis 1002). Won GT class at the 1961 Targa Florio and sixth overall. The Targa is one of the most iconic World Championship Races in the world.
