Owner: Chip Perry
One of only 17 America Roadsters produced in 1952, this 356 stands alone as the sole 1952 steel-body machine of its kind. The America Roadster was Porsche’s first purpose-built race car and this car, driven by Hubert Brundage, finished 16th at the 1954 12 Hours of Sebring.
While now more frequently driven on the Blue Ridge Parkway, the beautifully restored and well-maintained 356 did revive its former racing career to run a vintage race at the 2015 Porsche Rennsport Reunion at the Laguna Seca.
Among other awards, it has been recognized with the Amelia Award for second in class at 2020 Amelia Island Concours, the Spirit of the Highlands Award at the 2022 Highlands Motoring Festival and Best-in-Show Award at the 2016 Porsche 356 Registry East Coast Holiday in Akron, Ohio.
